Psychiatrists divulge worries on the minds of Mafia bosses

Mafia bosses in Italy are undergoing a mental health crisis as record numbers of arrests put hundreds of criminals behind bars, doctors have warned.

Psychiatrists in Italy have detailed the concerns that keep their Mafia boss clients up at night in prison, ranging from hair loss and loneliness to paranoia and depression.
Dr Gabriele Quattrone, head of neuropsychiatry at Reggio Calabria hospital, offered rare insights into the secretive, stressed world of Italy's criminal organisations.
One Mafia boss from Calabria, was obsessed with hair loss and imaginary blemishes, he said.
